MERINÍES, Anonymous. Dirham kabir. (Ar. 0.92g/16mm). Tilimsan (Tlemecen) / تلمسان. (Hazard 1147; Album M520; Hohertz 846, cataloged R). On the last line of AI. the expression: ما اقر ب فرج اللّٰه ("Near is the comfort of Allah"). Similarly, on the reverse, the mention of the Quran appears instead of Al-Mahdi: القران امامنا ("The Quran is our Iman"). Good Very Fine. Rare and very interesting specimen, transformed into an amulet that preserves the complete suspension element.
