BOLIVIA. Lot of 9 specimen notes from 1 to 1000 Bolivianos. 20 July 1928. Banco Central. SPECIMENS. This is a vividly colored group of specimen notes from the 1928 series, each displaying a portrait of Simon Bolivar. All of the notes, graded about uncirculated, show cancellation through punched holes. In addition, every piece has had a section of its right margin removed and later reattached using a strip of red tape on the reverse. The detached fragment was intentionally subjected to wear and chemical analysis to evaluate the durability and composition of the ink used in circulation. These pieces were printed by the American Bank Note Company. (Pick: 118s, 119s, 120s, 121s, 122s, 124s, 125s, 126s, 127s). Almost Uncirculated.
