La ceca de Ispali fue una de las más productivas de la península y se caracteriza, fundamentalmente, por unas emisiones de tremises de oro en unas calidades muy cuidadas, siendo acuñadas a lo largo de toda la presencia visigoda en la ciudad. Se inician estas emisiones con Leovigildo cuya leyenda CVM DEO OPTINVIT SPALI difiere de todas las posteriores que incluyen solo el nombre de la ciudad. En este caso concreto además incluye la palabra PIVS, la cual hace alusión a un atributo del propio monarca, pudiéndose encontrar en otros ejemplos, también, los adjetivos IVSTVS o VICTOR. La moneda de Ispali es de gran influencia no solo en la Baética o la Carthaginensis sino incluso en zonas tan alejadas como Gallaecia.
